Born in Tokyo in 1965, Tsutomu Takahashi is one of today's most renowned manga artists.
He debuted in 1989 with Jiraishin, and has since captivated readers worldwide with his ability to create intense stories narrated with realistic and expressive strokes.
His bibliography includes titles such as Detonation Island, Black-Box, Reverberation, and NeuN. These works traverse different universes, including street gangs, boxing, the mafia, and World War II.
Takahashi confronts his characters with extreme situations in dark atmospheres. In collaboration with Shogakukan, VIZ Media, and Norma Editorial, Takahashi is coming to Manga Barcelona to present his most recent works: the fast-paced thriller Jumbo Max and the drama Guitar Shop Rosie. These works reflect the breadth and versatility of Takahashi's career.
