MAO MOMIJI

Mao Momiji is a Japanese foodie artist. In his appetizing illustrations, special attention is put on light and colours. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Musashino Art University. In Spring of 2019, he started to upload a new illustration every day to his Instagram account, which now has more than 190 000 followers.

In Autumn of 2020, he held his first solo exhibition, 365 delicious days, to huge acclaim in Tokyo. He has held exhibitions in other Japanese cities, as well as in Taiwan, New York and Los Angeles. His dream is to exhibit his works in all five continents, and to taste (and draw) all the delicacies that exist in this world.

Mao Momiji is the official food designer of the anime Delicious in Dungeon (2024). In Japan, the publisher Parco Shuppan released two of his artbooks. In Spain, Ediciones Tomodomo published his first book Platos con ¡PINTAZA!.
