One Piece, Haikyu!!, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure’s main artists to feature live performances in Barcelona this December
MANGA BARCELONA will celebrate its 30th anniversary from 5th to 8th December 2024, and the Japanese culture festival will once again shine with top names from the Japanese music scene. These artists will be visiting Spain for the first time, offering exclusive concerts.
The 30th anniversary of Manga Barcelona will be very special for all manga and anime fans. It will host great surprises and diversity in the planning of its activities and spaces. However, it will be an edition that will undoubtedly stand out for the visit of renowned mangakas. Among them, the incomparable Naoki Urasawa.
Naoki Urasawa will be the guest of honor and will illustrate the 30th anniversary poster, with an edition of records in the number of manga authors, activities, square meters and the with the introduction of a new mascot.
Nintendo brings to Manga Barcelona some of its most celebrated novelties: The visitors will be able to play Super Mario Bros. Wonder or WarioWare: Move It!, learn the Japanese origami technique with characters from Pikmin 4, talk to the developers of the Barcelona indie title Worldless or discover Suika Game, the exclusive game for Nintendo Switch that has become a viral phenomenon.
In this edition of Manga Barcelona, Escribà Dreams together with Gokoro collaborate to create a new mochi for 29th MANGA BARCELONA; a mochi filled with Catalan cream that aims to magnify both Catalan and Japanese culture with the union of these typical traditional desserts.

Paula Maria Sanchez is the winner of the last edition of the Manga Contest. Through a comic strip starring a small stand specialized in preparing delicious autumn sanmas, the author shows a valuable reflection on what happiness is.
Manga Barcelona premieres a new space called Kizuna Nihon that will host several Japanese public institutions, highlighting the country's strong relationship with the event. The Consulate General of Japan in Barcelona, the Japan National Tourist Office (JNTO), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Tokyo Tourism will offer a variety of activities and information at the 29th edition of Manga Barcelona, which will take place from December 7 to 10 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via.
The Catalan Autism Federation, which includes 42 autism organizations in Catalonia, and Ficomic (Federation of Professional Comic Institutions) are working together to make the 29th edition of Manga Barcelona a friendly event for people with autism

The festival will be held in Fira Barcelona Montjuïc on the 1st and 2nd of July 2023 with a unique line-up.
Due to health reasons, the Japanese mangaka will not be able to travel to Barcelona and attend to the 28th edition of MANGA BARCELONA. Umezawa was working on his award-winning work The Darwin Incident while recovering from an illness. Unfortunately, a few days before the event, his health condition has worsened and his doctor recommended him to stay in Japan.
