The festival will be held in Fira Barcelona Montjuïc on the 1st and 2nd of July 2023 with a unique line-up.
Due to health reasons, the Japanese mangaka will not be able to travel to Barcelona and attend to the 28th edition of MANGA BARCELONA. Umezawa was working on his award-winning work The Darwin Incident while recovering from an illness. Unfortunately, a few days before the event, his health condition has worsened and his doctor recommended him to stay in Japan.
The event was moved to Barcelona Gran Via from December 8th to 11th.
Macoto Tezka, hijo del legendario dibujante de manga Osamu Tezuka y director de cine y de televisión, y la dibujante de manga Reiko Okano, serán dos de los invitados a la 25 edición de Manga Barcelona que se celebrará del 31 de octubre al 3 de noviembre en Fira Barcelona Montjuïc. El motivo de su visita es la espectacular exposición Osamu Tezuka, el dios del manga, producida por FICOMIC, que se inaugurará en el Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya coincidiendo con el certamen y que se podrá ver durante dos meses.
