Story

The story goes back to October 27th, 1995, when a panot* accidentally fell into the waters of a Barcelona beach, opening a portal between dimensions and revealing a strange figure. We have the pleasure of introducing you to someone very special, someone who has traveled from the depths of the seas from Barcelona to meet our community. Please give a warm and enthusiastic welcome to Onachan, the official mascot of Manga Barcelona! 

Onachan is no ordinary mascot. With their lively and mischievous personality, they will keep us moving and excited while encouraging us to pursue all our dreams. But don't let their cute appearance fool you, this little creature has a secret power: they can eat ramen non-stop! Watch out for your bowl of ramen when they show up!

Onachan's favorite color is red, a color as vibrant as their personality. They also share our passion for manganime and have a special fondness for cosplaying kaijus - yes, those giant monsters that destroy neighborhoods and cities in the Kyodai Hero movies! So don't be surprised if you see our mascot wandering the aisles of the event dressed as Godzilla or Mothra, because Onachan knows how to party hard! Our mascot is also very passionate about energies, so if you meet her, don't be surprised if she asks for your birth chart (she is a Scorpio, although she doesn't want to admit it).

Onachan has been in hiding for many years, learning about our culture, devouring dorayakis and mochis of infinite flavors, consuming all kinds of anime offered by 3XL, and picking up their first manga from their favorite bookstore. But finally, last year, we were able to meet her!
