The film's story revolves around the sudden reappearance of Detective Oshiri Tantei's partner, who disappeared ten years ago. After receiving a mysterious message from Suisen, he soon finds himself involved in a case of art forgery, which is part of a massive plot to shake up art galleries around the world.

Kenji Satō directed the film, Natsuko Takahashi and Jun Narita wrote the screenplay, and Hiroshi Takaki composed the music. Guest star Riisa Naka plays Suisen, and Japanese heavy metal quintet Nemophila performs the Odyssey campaign song .
