Based on the manga of the same name by Keiji Nakazawa, Barefoot Gen has become a cult film. To mark the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima this year, Manga Barcelona is reviving this title and opening the Auditorium to Barcelona schools. There will be a special presentation and a talk, as the film's content is sensitive.

During wartime, the citizens of Hiroshima try to live normal lives despite shortages and the war situation. The film focuses on an elementary school student who narrates the events before and after the bombing of Hiroshima in Japan during World War II from his perspective.
