Koré Yamazaki (Hokkaido, 1990) is a Japanese manga artist, illustrator and writer whose work stands out for its detailed artwork and strong Western influences, both in character design and in storylines inspired by classic British children's and young adult literature.
She made her professional debut in 2012 with Futari no Ren’ai Shoka, published by Houbunsha, and a few months later began serialising The Ancient Magus Bride, the work that would propel her to stardom with its blend of dark fantasy, everyday life and Celtic folklore. The manga, which has reached 25 volumes in Japan, has also been successfully adapted into an animated series.
Koré Yamazaki will attend the 32 Manga Barcelona in collaboration with Bushiroad Works, Tohan and Norma Editorial.
