In 1990, Yoko lshida was awarded at the Anime Singer Contest. In March 1993, she made her debut with "Otome no Policy" the ending theme song of the TV anime "Sailor Moon R.” After this, she performed and wrote lyrics for many anime and game titles. In 2003, she made her debut in the US by releasing her 1st album "sweets.”
From 2005 to 2006, she did a successful tour named "Anime Fusion Tour (ATF)" in the US, having concerts at 13 different cities on the both East and West coast. In 2008, she released her best album "Single Collection" in South Korea. She visited and had concerts in the US, Spain, Brazil, France, Mexico, South Korea, China, Thailand, Costa Rica, Portugal, Peru and Chili so far, working actively as an anisong singer.
She is also as an instructor at an entertainment career college in her hometown Niigata, as well as serving as PR ambassador for Niigata's local anime festival event "Gata-Fes."
Ever since singing the megahit "STRIKE WITCHES ~Watashi ni Dekiru Koto~” which was the opening theme song of the TV animation series "Strike Witches” in 2008, she has sung all of the theme songs for the still-going-strong "Strike Witches" series, and has become an essential part of the ever-popular "Strike Witches" world. In 2018, she released an album to commemorate the 25th anniversary of her debut and the 10th anniversary of "Strike Witches."
Even after 2020, she has been singing theme songs for the new "Strike Witches” series. She continues to enthrall fans with her "angelic voice" not only in Japan but also over the world.
