The Art of TOKYO GENSO

Tokyo is the most populous city in the world. But what if the crowds disappeared from its streets and nature took over the metropolis?

In this exhibition, we discovered the works of TOKYO GENSO, an official guest of 29 Manga Barcelona. This illustrator from Japan recreates some of the most iconic places of the Japanese capital in a not unlikely fantasy-like future. With its exquisite detail and boundless imagination, his art will take to a mysterious world of illusions.

In addition to landscapes from Tokyo, we saw a big reproduction of “Manga Barcelona Genso”, an illustration inspired by the Eixample district and created specially for this event. And, to top it off, how about a picture with Tokyo Big Sight, the legendary venue that hosts Comiket?
