Miriam Bonastre

She was born in Pineda de Mar in 1994. She studied illustration at Escola Joso Centre de Còmic i Arts Visuals and has been part of the creative team of Virtual Hero by El Rubius.

Míriam has published Hooky weekly for more than four years on Webtoon. Her work became one of the great international successes of this digital comics platform and eventually led her to publish the work on paper. The first two volumes of Hooky have been successful in Spain and in the United States and they were able to make it to the bestseller lists of The New York Times. The book has also been published in Italy and France and has been translated into Catalan.

She is a regular contributor to Planeta Manga magazine, where she has published several stories. Together with Blanca Mira, Laia López and Sara Lozoya she published the book El príncipe de la calamidad (The Calamity Prince). Nowadays she is publishing weekly her second Webtoon, Marionetta.
