MANGAKA SHUN UMEZAWA WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND TO THE 28TH EDITION OF MANGA BARCELONA DUE TO HEALTH REASONS, BUT WE WILL BE ABLE TO TALK WITH HIM IN LIVE CONNECTION FROM JAPAN

Due to health reasons, the Japanese mangaka will not be able to travel to Barcelona and attend to the 28th edition of MANGA BARCELONA. Umezawa was working on his award-winning work The Darwin Incident while recovering from an illness. Unfortunately, a few days before the event, his health condition has worsened and his doctor recommended him to stay in Japan.

However, eager to please his Spanish fans who were waiting so long to meet him, the author will attend the event live from Japan. You will be able to meet him virtually in the Manga Academy Room on the following days:

Shun Umezawa has prepared 2 shikishis that will be raffled among the fans who got a place in his signing sessions. We will notify the winners by email and through our social networks.

The author regrets not being able to travel to the event. He wants to thank in advance for the understanding of all the Manga Barcelona attendees who wanted to meet him. We would like to send him a lot of strength and we do hope he recovers soon and to be able to meet him in person in the next edition.

In the 28th Manga Barcelona there will also be an exhibition dedicated to his work located in the Activities Zone, don't miss it!
