LUIS MONTES

Luis Montes is a comic book author and concept artist from Granada. He is the creator of the manga Gryphoon, which is currently being published in Planeta Manga magazine.

Born in Granada, he studied at several design schools in the city before completing his training after four years at the renowned Joso School in Barcelona. Over the last six years, he has worked as an illustrator for Nintendo on advertising campaigns for The Legend of Zelda and Fire Emblem, as a concept artist for various animation productions and video game studios, and as an artist, collaborating on projects such as the comic Diferente (Different), published by Planeta.

He currently publishes Gryphoon with Planeta Cómic in its magazine Planeta Manga, in Manga Issho, and in compilation volumes. He has also published a light novel set in the same universe.
