The 25 Manga Barcelona is setting out a new space this year especially for kids aged 5 to 12. An area to encourage children to read and have fun at the same time. By doing this we aim to take manga to a new generation of readers and encourage the younger ones to read.

The area will be divided into different spaces such as the Manga Workshop, where they’ll be able to create their own mangas; Mangaplay, devoted to craft work, another space for sports and the Mangateca where there will be storytelling specialising in the work of Isao Takahata, co-founder of the Studio Ghibli and Osamu Tezuka studios. In conjunction with the anime cycle that we are devoting to both authors, we’ll tell stories based on their most iconic characters.
